GREY GHOST

Summary

Another adventure in the D. The new steakhouse in the historical Mid town area from Chef’s John Vermiglio &Joe Giacomino, was well worth the drive. The Fried Bologna with cheddar & jalepeno served on a waffle, was a little to greasy for my taste, but my excellent server, Caprice, told me that it shouldn’t tasted that way. They brought out a summer squash salad with farrow, kalamata, & yoghurt(that’s how they spell it) which had great flavor. The sweet corn was served as a cold dish with parmesan, which had good flavor & the French Fries were very good(balanced/doubled fried), but needed to come out hotter( it came with what they called fancy sauce-but, was a ketchup mayo combo). The rack of lamb with merguez & coriander, was a bit too salty for the LD, but was still good. The Coconut Creme Pie for dessert was very good-creme was filling & you can’t go wrong with coconut, while the crust was tasty. All in all a good meal. The place was hopping, but the parking was challenging in the area. All in all the LD enjoyed his experience…the service was top notch, & the food for the most part was very good. On this trip down the LD fires up 3 Silver Bullets, but there’s a lot of potential to shoot more on another journey in the future. Happy trails….. till the next adventure
