Summary
A new Diner in The D! Parks & Rec, the sister restaurant to Republic off of Grand River near Comerica Park was worth a weekend drive. The Cinnamon roll was amazing- giant cinnamon rolls filled with walnuts, & really smothered with chèvre honey icing, made the trip worthwhile, as did the Motown Music they played( a LD favorite- The Temptations- Just My Imagination- greeted me as I walked in). The mimosa was small, very dinerish. The Smoked Leek Strata with smoked butter & corn anglaise soaked bread, charred leek, & a poached egg was tasty, a made this a very Car Filled afternoon…) Well worth the expedition down, and a fun adventure. The LD fires 3 Silver Bullets,on this journey, and was singing( it was probably awful.., but being Lone, there wasn’t anyone around to comment!) all the way home.
