Summary
Fun Italian restaurant in Marina Del Rey, easy to access when landing at LAX. The Crispy Squash Blossoms with ricotta, mozzarella, tomato, & chili, was gooey, and technically finger licking good…) The Bucatini was amazing! with mussels far diavolo, calabrian chili, & tarragon, the LD cleaned the bowl as best as he could, the sauce was awesome. For desert The Fluffernutter was more that a handful…fried bread with peanut butter and marshmallow creme, it was too much which was a good thing, especially in the wee hours..the sugar fueled the engine to cross town after. The LD really enjoyed this stop on the journey & fires 4 Silver Bullets here. Made another journey 5 months later, with Kemosabe. Started with the Sierra Norte drink, which contained Mezcal, Aperol( The LD likes APEROL), Pineapple,& lemon, which was ok. The bartender was outstanding, however the food this time around was not as good…it happens…The Italian Chopped Salad with salami, imported provolone, cdci beans, oregano, peperoncini, radicchio, artichoke, red onion, & roasted peppers was not as tasty as the LD would’ve hoped for, considering the ingredients. The bucatini this time was with pesto, & burrito, but was way took salty…. The LD would’ve fired less bullets on this trip, but it was about the experience with Kemosabe, that kept their rating on this trip….the true test will be on the next adventure!
