Summary
The adventure continues to Downtown Detroit, to Old China Town. The group that owns Sugar House, Wright & Co, and several others has open this Chinese restaurant, with Chef Wong. Unfortunately this was one of the LD & trusted scouts, misadventures, since the food & drinks were not very tasty on this journey. Starting with the Salt & Pepper Calamari with their secret(????) spice mix & picked jalapeƱo was extremely salty. The Crab Rangoon with cream cheese, crab, scallion was really fried cream cheese. The Hunan Lamb ribs which the LD was really looking forward to was soy braised with a five spice powder(????? really?), & the the Pan fried Noodle, well at least we got our veggies in. Lastly the Sugar Egg Puff, was just more fried stuff. This group knows what they’re doing, so I hope that it will see improvement in the future. However, it will not make the LD’s bucket list & at this time, get 1 Silver Bullet shot. Again, I wish them the best, however the LD will not make another drive there.
