Summary
Matchbox..an American pizza bistro, is more than pizza, in fact they became known in the D.C. area for there 3.6.9. mimi burgers on toasted brioche, with pickles, onion straws& gouda,mozzarella, and or gorgonzola.the pizza is good with their 2 ovens, the Ginormous meatball made of angus beef,veal, pork, pepperoni, with pecorino romano & the wood fired bread to dip it in was amazing. the italian sausage rigatoni was very good, the chickpea french fries weresomething flavorly different. The special tuna tartare with oranges, beets, , english sewer peas, with crispy malanga chips, was mouth watering. The brownie desert, Mo’s Magic Brownie with marscapone icing, blackberries, and a reisling berry ice cream with a balsamic reduction was the topping that even my doctor would order after this meal.. Well worth the journey to our nation’s capital.
