Summary
Another D.C. favorite for comfort food, serving, breakfast, lunch, & dinner.Going from the baked pretzels served with smoked cheese & beer fondue to the breakfast burrito with hash browns with a latte, then to the spicy, but very good gazpacho, to the grilled cheese with tomato soup, you just want to hang out & read the paper the morning newspaper that they leave by your seat. But I had to taste THE REUBEN, on grilled marble rye, with house cured(?) corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, 1000 island dressing, this was an LD favorite. Of course the “Ty Cobb” salad, named after a friend of mine(lol)with fried chicken…) The chicken soup was comforting, but the onion rings too doughy. The carrot cake was ok, as was the chocolate cream pie, but the chocolate manner milk shake was excellent.Quite the caloric intact for the LD, but worth the adventure, another capital favorite added to the list on this prairie
trip.
