Summary
Chef Tin Vuong’s new Downtown version of his Manhattan Beach outpost was a fun afternoon adventure & well worth the journey downtown. The Vietnamese coffee still has my heart pounding 10 days later….) The Rice Paper roll with sweet potato, jicama, egg, viet herbs,chinese sausage, sweet shrimp,& coconut peanut sauce(yes…all wrapped into the rice paper), was very tasty. The Banh Mi sandwich with grilled lemongrass chicken, crushed cashews, mint, basil, scallions, & chili lime vin topped with pickled daikon & carrot, sliced cucumber, cilantro, & slices of jalapeño with a spread of house made egg yolk mayonnaise was very good. All these ingredients were excellent & created another outstanding trip on this food journey. The LD fires 3 Silver Bullets on this trip, but looks forward to a return, with a bigger appetite(it was my 2nd lunch that day). On to the next meal!
