A Saturday trip to Soho on another Culinary adventure with TS(Trusted Scout)aka Lady in Red…) This jaunt was over to James Beard award winning restauranteur, Stephen Starr & Chef Daniel Rose whose restaurant Spring in Paris was visited by the LD last year. This eclectic French restaurant meant starting with some Rose Champagne to make sure we had enough fuel to make it through the meal.The pictures do speak volumes here…A beautiful designed restaurant with old school hospitality. The Bavette a la Bourguignonne was mouth watering…Of course the escargots,bibb lettuce,mushrooms was magnificent. Mussels, eggs, sauce, fish,fried veal… what more can you want as part of your lunch???? Enough cholesterol to clog the arteries for some time. Of course having TS with her astute food & beverage decisions & conversations made for an engaging & fun event. Of course there’s almost always a dessert & this time the Paris-Brest with hazelnut praline was awesome. Another Bon Appetite event, and this trip to Le Coucou(cuckoo-bird) the LD fired up 4 Silver Bullets for this epicurean adventure that contained great flavors that a month later, I still taste…..) On to the next experience..The LD continuing on his quest to find the best that NYC has to offer on this expedition…..
