WOW!!!!Simply amazing. Chef Michael Voltaggio’s ink. has been a favorite of the LD since he opened a couple of years ago, and he continues to raise the bar, with unusual ingredients creating awesome flavors. Starting with the Margarita made with Blood Orange, chili,honey,suze gentian,& tequila, then to the first course,hamachi with shitake escabeche, hazelnuts,
& kelp, next, the salt & charcoal potatoes with housemade sour cream & black vinegar that was served with an eye dropper…) way cool. The dish called Little Gems was amazing: Burrata with lettuce, lemon, & the super large anchovy cracker. The corn, made with housemate ranch, ” foritos” nori and green onions was spectacular. Oh, and then the wild alaskan halibut, with spring veggies, including awesome peas( yes, even I am amazed to call peas awesome), also with green garlic& pine nuts, was excellent. Lastly the flat iron steak was incredible with hearts of palm, barigoule shallot, and incredible seaweed whipped potatoes, the LD was almost speechless. This was one of the Top Meals period, & enjoyed with trusted scouts who minds were blown away by the tastes. 5 Silver Bullets, this is one to come back & try again & again, & makes the roads on the trails a lot easier to enjoy….)
