Summary
Good New York restaurant, that replaced Corton, which replaced the famous Montrachet( still the same owner, Drew Nierporent of Nobu fame). 4 course tasting. The cocktail named Jungle Bird contained dark rum and campari, was ok. The Tete de Cocho- with preserved sweet peppers, shallots and lemon wasn’t that flavorful. The Granny Smith Apple Strudel with taragon, and truffle vinaigrette, was very tasty. The Veal Tenderloin ” Tramezzini” , with trumpet mushrooms, seat breads, and sauce disable was just ok. Desert was disappointing. The French wine selection was very good, and The Lone Diner’s Posse that night made for a great evening & overcome the disappointment in the meal. It’s not always about the food, but the company that you keep…)!!!!
