Summary

Michigan’s Legendary Fine Dining establishment is closing it’s doors by the end of the year, after 34 years in business. The LD had some historical evenings in his past many many moons ago, at this restaurant, and he & a trusted friend went to try this one last time. Their accolades include being Hour Magazine’s only 2 time restaurant of the year, & was Michigan first 4 Diamond restaurant, with accolades from Gourmet Magazine, Forbes Travel Guide, & Wine Enthusiast. The LD had their famous appetizer platter, that included, their curried duck salad, gulf shrimp, & oysters on the half shell, which were all good. The pasta was tasty, as was the arugula salad. The Chocolate white fish had by my friend was mouth watering & the LD had their amazing Ghengis Khan Lamb Chops of which this was the 78,569 set served over the last 34 years, which were excellent. The pumpkin cheesecake for desert was the only downer. The LD fires up 4 Silver Bullets & as Bob Hope used to sing” Thanks for the Memories”, another institution closes on a high note. Thank you!
