New hot spot from the owners of Carbone, Dirty French,& more in The Meatpacking District, by the HighLine. The Magnelli Punch with tequila, banana, pineapple, and cinnamon was ok, very interesting drinkware!This is an Italian restaurant… The Octopus appetizer was amazing one of the best dishes the LoneDiner has had on his recent journeys. The octopus was grazed&grilled with cipollini onions, shaved fennel, basil, red peppers,& a medley of vegetables that hit the high notes with this flavorful dish.The spaghetti Blue Crab, lacked taste, & the bartender realized there was a problem, and bought me an after dinner drink…so the service was a plus.The chocolate Diplomatico wasn’t very diplomatic, in fact, like many diplomats, it wasn’t true to the name/flavor..very bland chocolate. The scene is currently high energy & busy, but time will if it’ll continue.The gallop was worth it for the appetizer,but fell way short on the other food items.
