Summary

Chef Michael Fiorelli’s Manhattan Beach Italian Bistro close to the ocean & a short drive/journey upon arrival from LAX. The Freekehlicious Salad cam first and was amazing, consisting of 5 grains, 5 herbs, shaved radishes, black currants & hazelnuts was good to the last grain in the dish. The Albacore Tuna on toast with avocado, crushed olives, & pickled onions on ciabatta was very very tasty! The Lady in the Ballroom drink was just ok, which was grapefruit vodka, St. Germain,Red Bell Pepper, mint, & lemon juice. The Cavatappi pasta was very good, but a little heavy consisting of roasted garlic, bone marrow( mixed at table side ), parsley, parmesan, & crushed black pepper. Lastly for desert, the Toasted almond Tart was good made with milk chocolate, coconut, toasted almond & espresso gelato. The LD sat the the chef’s table watching them prepare the dinners that night was is always a great sight for sore jet lagged eyes to see(LOL)….All in all a very good meal, & well worth venturing to another area in southern California. The LoneDiner fires up 4 Silver Bullets on this occasion & another fun adventure.
