Chef’s Timothy Hollingsworth & Rory Herman’s( Both alums of Chef Thomas Keller’s Per Se) Bar BQ collaboration with LA restauranteur extradinaire Bill Chait & Sprout LA is a fun picnic styled restaurant in Studio City which was a jaunt through the canyon to get to…) The Watermelon Salad was very good with jalapeños, yogurt, cilantro, and jicama. Then tried their” Best Damn Chicken Sandwich Y’All Ever Had”…which i doesn’t come close to the best that I’ve had unfortunately, and it’s served with pimento cheese, jalapeño & cole slaw straws. The Rib Tips were good. Lastly,The Hoe’s Pie, which is their take on corn bread was excellent, served in a hot skillet with scallions, & was tasty/flavorful.This was a hike through the canyon, but a fun experience, and the LoneDiner on this visit fires 3 SilverBullets up in the Valley. Now, if the GPS , will get off of Ventura Blvd to Rodeo, it’ll all be good on this journey…& so it was…)
